Fire / Smoke Damper Inspection
Tech Clean offers a comprehensive Damper inspection and maintenance program that is designed to meet the code requirements of NFPA - 90A. This code requires that all dampers are physically inspected every 4 years. Additionally, JCAHO also requires a 4 year physical inspection cycle on all fire and smoke dampers per EC 2.12.1. Our inspection program:
- Locate each damper and confirm that it is in a rated barrier.
- Conduct a physical and visual inspection of all damper components to verify the equipments functionality.
- Make adjustments or install replacement components as required.
- Label and date each damper.
- Label the barrier wall for Fire or Smoke.
- Submit an inspection report for each damper.
- Submit a summary list of deficient dampers, which includes: damper location, nature of damage, corrective action and repair cost budget.
